SPEARITWURX CENTER FOR CULTURE & WELLNESS IS NOW CLOSED DUE TO FLOODING AT EASTMONT. PLEASE Be well everyone! WE WERE POPPING UP IN EAST OAKLAND! We have been blessed with an opportunity to bring our work to East Oakland as a catalyst for community revitalization and activation. In February 2020, we opened a Pop Up in Eastmont Town Center that layed the foundation for a permanent home for the Experience Sankofa Project. This Spearitwurx Center for Culture & Wellness included a Co-working Cultural Hub for Healing Centered Engagement and an Oakland Art & Culture Shop. CO-WORKING CULTURAL HUB for HEALING CENTERED ENGAGEMENT In collaboration with other Oakland-based Healing Centered Organizations, we are activating Eastmont Town Center with culturally relevant healing modalities, workshops, and co-working events. This growing list of Activators includes: •Black Cultural Zone Collaborative •Black Healers Connect •Namaste Ready •Be Free Yoga •Inner Works Collective •Catalyst Foundation for Youth Development •and more! OAKLAND ART & CULTURE SHOP Oakland-based clothing company, Madow Futur, will coordinate the Oakland Art & Culture Shop, featuring the works of: •Crown Biz •Goddess Butter •Latisha Baker Arts •E14 Gallery Artists •Castlemont High School SUDA •And more |
